Who to Contact

Energy Fraud

Please note, the UKRPA only deals with instances of energy theft in Northern Ireland. If you know someone who has tampered with their meter or is attempting to defraud their electricity or gas supplier, please select the appropriate option below based on where the location of the premises your report relates to.

Please note: If you do not provide the full address of the property in question for the alleged tampering, the authorities and energy company responsible for the meter will not be able to investigate.

Alternatively, see our list of UKRPA Members to contact the distribution business for the electricity distribution area where you feel the tampering is taking place, or if you know the energy supplier.

If you smell gas or are worried that fumes containing carbon monoxide are escaping from a gas appliance, please call the free Gas Emergency Services emergency line immediately on 0800 111 999.

Please see ‘Complaints’ if you have an issue with your supplier.
